Stretching is the foundation of your aerobic and strength exercises. In order to be active and exercise your heart, you need to be able to bend your arms and legs, use your feet and move your spine.
Wellness Centre Fitness Instructor Donna St. John will introduce us to heart-healthy and safe stretching techniques. Technique demonstrations and excellent handouts.
Please dress in comfortable clothes as there will be some practice of a few stretching exercises. If you have runners, wear those too. Don’t worry if you have some mobility limitations. Donna will suggest adaptations to any of technique that best fits your movement abilities.
